Some Of The Books I've Been Reading This Summer -- Part #1
Like most of the books by Carlton Mellick III (CM3), Razor Wire Pubic Hair is not for the conservative. It is however brimming with surreal, satirical fun for all ages. It has sex clones, zombies, and an army of rabid rapists. It also gives fascinating new definition to the term, "vagina monologues." As it skewers our perceptions of sex, gender roles and cosmetic surgery, it may also shock, disturb, and make you laugh out loud. One of CM3's more original and surreal visions, it is more in the vein of Steel Breakfast Era or Fishy Fleshed than Satan Burger or Menstruating Mall (all of which are great surreal fiction). This is yet another excellent phantasm from one of the leading pioneers of post modern surrealism. If you like those tripped out 1980's horror movies, read this. The comedy alone is well worth the effort. It's also a fine satire so don't be ashamed if you fall in love with this incredibly gross piece of work! You know that satisfying, invigorating feeling that comes after you take a great morning dump? It’s a lot like that. This book is a fairytale for those who love to indulge in the bizarre. A fun read; highly recommended.
